RESPONSIBILITIES:
Flight Mechanical Technicians for Assembly Processes Department in Electronic Assembly and Test Center. Job Description: Duties will consist of building complex electronic assemblies including soldering chip and discrete components onto circuit card assemblies, soldering fine pitch lead devices, etch cut of circuitry and soldering/routing wires and harness assemblies. This position is in support of producing flight quality electronics for space systems. (6 total) 3 positions needed by 11/30/09 and 3 needed by 1/10/10. Shifts 1st 6-3:30am 2nd 2-11:30pm. 2nd shift availability is a must.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Candidate must have 5-15 yrs’ experience. Experience with formal soldering certification preferred (NASA, MIL STD 2000) or equivalent. Years of experience may be waived in lieu of education level. All candidates must successfully complete a formal certification class in the technical training center. Experience using hand measuring tools and torque wrenches is required. Experience with application of epoxies is beneficial. Must read blueprints and understand associated paperwork. Will be working from visual aids and planning orders with minimal supervisory instruction. Must possess good computer skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word. Final determination of grade level will be based on experience.
