A Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field is desired, however, 5 years actual work experience with military communications systems, multi-spectral sensors and/or computer based training devices (preferably in the Special Operations arena) may be substituted for formal education. The Field Service Technician will provide quick response to customer requests for product support. Will include but not be limited to, system and device troubleshooting and problem evaluation as well as performing and/or supporting the necessary rework or repairs required to return the equipment to functional status. Instrumental in preparing reports and will work in conjunction with the Configuration Manager to update and track the configuration status of the fielded units. Responsibilities of the Field Service Technician include providing technical support to SNC customers in order to give quick problem assessment and corrections for the fielded units. Responsible for documenting all customer interactions and must implement and/or support implementation for hardware, software, or training issue changes according to approved SNC instructions. Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours.

| Requirements: | This position will be 90 days in US and 90 days deployed. When deployed overseas, techs will typically work extensive overtime at all hours of the day and night and live in austere conditions, usually tent-city type arrangements with communcal latrines and showers. Possibility of 60% OCONUS travel with some overtime and CONUS travel required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5-10 years of experience is desired with maintenance experience on DoD aircraft preferred. FAA repair station experience is desired. Experience on DoD/fixed wing turboprop and rotary wing aircraft is desired. Must be legally authorized to work in the USA. Position will require overseas travel *Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance required. |
