| Job Desc: |
DUTIES: Perform Organizational and Intermediate Level Maintenance NDI functions for scheduled/unscheduled maintenance IAW with the NAMP, Contractor GOP‘s and applicable T/M/S aircraft MIMs/Tech Pubs and TD‘s. NDI Inspectors will notify the VX-31 Contract Oversight Team QAR‘s of all Flight Critical, Safety of Flight, and mandatory QA inspections. Non Destructive Inspection (NDI) personnel assigned shall be required to maintain proficiency IAW applicable Department of Defense and Navy standards for Non Destructive Inspections methods, which may include but are not limited to Eddy Current, Conductivity, Ultrasonic, Resonance, Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle and Radiography Inspections utilizing Navy/DOD test standards and equipment on aeronautical and non-aeronautical equipment. Contractor perform on equipment inspections requiring the ability to climb ladders and utilize associated ground support equipment. Contractor may be required to work outdoors for extended periods of time. Contractor shall meet requirements for eyesight and physical dexterity to perform tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS: Shall be Level II Mechanics. Contractor arestrongly desired to be a high school graduate or equivalent. The NonDestructive Inspector (NDI) shall possess the NAS-410 or equivalent SNTTC-1A current credentials with aircraft experience or have attended theNaval Aircraft Non Destructive Inspection Technician Course - C-603-3191, The Air Force Non Destructive Inspection Technician Course -JCABP2A732-048B (or previous versions), and have been awarded Navy NEC 7225, Marine Corps MOS 6033, or Air Force Specialty Code 2A772. Itis highly desired for Non Destructive Inspectors to have prior Navy / MarineCorps / Air Force experience.Be eligible to qualify for a Secret Level Clearance. (Note multiple VX-31Detachment locations require Secret Level clearances for Flight Line access.)DISQUALIFIERS: No Intermediate level NDI aircraft maintenance experience, no T/M/S specific aircraft experience within the last two years, no Organizational Level T/M/S applicable aircraft experience, no QAR,CDI, CDQAR, experience, no Work Center Supervisor experience. Inability to qualify for or sustain a Secret Level Clearance or valid US State Driver‘s 98License. For civilian trained NDI Technicians, prior aircraft experience isnon-waiverable. For prior service personnel, Navy NEC 7225, Marine CorpsMOS 6040 or Air Force Specialty Code 2A772 is non-waiverable. |
