Description: |
Our task is to train, assist, and actively advise the RSAF in the accomplishment of Organizational and Intermediate Level maintenance. This training is accomplished using a combination of English language training (basic and technical terminology), formal classroom instruction and Structured On-The-Job-Training. The objective of training is to provide the necessary skills to independently maintain the RSAF C-130 at the Organizational Level of maintenance.
We are expanding this to include Back Shop. |

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Reports to the Corrosion Control Shop Chief as a Corrosion Control Technician.
b. Identifies, removes and/or treats corrosion that can be removed through chemical and mechanical means.
c. Removes protective aircraft coating to inspect for corrosion as required.
d. Washes aircraft and components. Prepares surfaces for painting.
e. Applies primers, paints and lacquers, as applicable. Applies decals in accordance with standard instructions. Prepares stencils and applies to aircraft/equipment as required.
f. Maintains standard equipment associated with painting operations.
g. Responsible for conducting Customer training, to include OJT, and maintenance of training records for the Corrosion Control Shop.
h. Performs other related duties as directed.

Qualifications: |
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
Knowledge of corrosion removal using chemical and mechanical methods is mandatory. Must be familiar with aircraft strippers, degreasers, primers, polyurethane paints and lacquers used on metal, fiberglass and other aircraft surfaces, to include application procedures. Must have working knowledge of aircraft maintenance forms, records and reports to meet the job standards prescribed by the RSAF. Must be able to speak, read, comprehend and write English clearly and distinctly. Completion of high school or equivalent is mandatory. Courses in paint mixing and application preferred. Must be qualified and capable of providing necessary job training to the Customer.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of six (6) years recent large aircraft corrosion control experience is mandatory. Must have worked on the C-130 aircraft at least 24 of the last 36 months immediately preceding employment.
