KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
Knowledge of management techniques, program planning, methods and procedures that apply to safety studies and analysis and evaluation of accident statistics is mandatory. Knowledge of performance characteristics, capabilities and limitations of C-130 aircraft is desirable. Knowledge of training principles, operation of teaching systems and operator maintenance of multimedia equipment is mandatory. Completion of
2. EXPERIENCE
At least five (5) years in the safety field with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role is mandatory. Some of this experience should be in support of the C-130 or similar weapons system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Administers the Maintenance ground safety program. b. Assists in the management of unit safety programs. c. Performs inspections and surveys of areas and operations to identify accident potentials. d. Reviews engineering drawings and plans. e. Performs accident investigations, prepares reports and maintains records. f. Analyzes accident statistics/data. g. Provides safety consultation during hazardous operations. h. Prepares and arranges for dissemination of safety material; maintains liaison with other base activities. i. Performs other safety activities, as directed.
