| Job Desc: | Cost Estimator Estimating & Tooling Description: The individual in this position will estimate labor, material, shop lead time and one-time costs such as part programming and tooling based on request for quote (RFQ) data submitted by customers. Must analyze engineering drawings, bills of material, material and process specifications and then calculate production costs using labor rates, material and processing price schedules and historical data. This individual must have 5 or more years of estimating experience in a machine shop environment with exposure to parts varying from simple to complex. | ||
| Requirements: | This individual must have 5 or more years of estimating experience in a machine shop environment with exposure to parts varying from simple to complex. Must also have a solid background in machining techniques and machining processes. Aerospace background highly desirable. This individual must have strong communication and organizational skill with knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Would prefer but not required to have knowledge of MasterCam, Solidworks or similar CAM/CAD software and cost estimating software. | ||
