• Performs structural (sheet metal) maintenance and alterations, will also fabricate structural parts as part of the parts manufacturing process and/or performs aircraft maintenance, preventive maintenance, repair and alterations on aircraft or airframe parts.
• Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmission, mechanical flight controls, and their components. Services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems. Performs inspections and assists in diagnosing/ troubleshooting of aircraft subsystems.
• Airframe and power plant license preferred.
• Aircraft structural (sheet metal) experience preferred.
• Previous military rotorcraft experience preferred.
• Previous aircraft maintenance experience in a FAR Part 145 repair station environment or field maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, further education or advance instruction relative to technical field is desirable.
• Experience in structural (sheet metal) repairs, modifies, restorations and alterations is preferred.
• Experience in all phases of aircraft maintenance to include component installation (flight sensitive in nature).
• The ability to locate, read and follow the technical data appropriate for the assigned task.
• The ability to use precision measuring equipment and hand tools appropriate to the assigned tasks.
• The ability to work overtime, and/or weekends as assigned dependent on production needs.
• The ability to work in a hangar/shop environment or work outdoors (locally) or in remote locations as needed.
