Position Purpose: The Avionics Installer III is responsible for the fabrication and installation of avionics / electrical and cabin system wiring and components at an intermediate level of proficiency. The incumbent works under the supervision of the Avionics Lead and is responsible for the production of high quality work within the standards of FAA and GAC procedures in accordance with customer specifications and delivery commitments. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Knowledgeable application of work processes within the scope of GAC policies and procedures Complete assigned tasks with efficiency and thoroughness Occasional assistance in the training of new team members Must demonstrate an understanding and capability to apply job related technical and functional knowledge Must be capable of expressing technical knowledge to design, engineering, and inspection Compliance with FAA and GAC procedures and requirements in the completion of assignments Read and comprehend wiring diagrams, and complete Wires subassemblies, (galley, lavatories, entertainment or divan cabinets, annunciator, assemblies, fuel control panels, etc.), build and install wire harnesses in aircraft. Complete paperwork and administrative assignments with efficiency including but not limited to parts installation and removal sheets, utilization of the AIM system for the production of pick lists, and sign-off on work orders. Assist in the performance of cabin electrical checkout. |

Operating Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Minimum Training & Education Requirements: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalency, and at least two years post high school electronics training, vocational, and/or military training. Essential skills include the ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form, a willingness to work in a team environment, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, attention to detail, and must be capable of working in a demanding and time sensitive environment. Minimum Experience Requirements: Minimum 3 to 5 years prior experience with military and/or civil aircraft wiring installation required. 1.) Minimum Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. You must be able to provide to our office within a 48 hour time frame. 2.) Criminal Background Check: If you have any Felony Convictions or violence-related misdemeanors within the past 7 years, you will be disqualified from employment at this location. |
