3.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES a.Reports to the PDM Manager as a Structural Repair Supervisor. b.Provides direction, guidance and mission orientation for successful job completion to all Customer and Contractor personnel in PDM. c.Establishes and controls the work activity of assigned personnel and ensures availability of required technical data, test equipment and tools required for effective work accomplishment. d.Monitors work effort for quality, quantity and timeliness. Inspects completed work for accuracy and quality of workmanship. e.Evaluates facilities, equipment, procedures and operating policies for safety, efficiency and professionalism. f.Reviews qualifications of newly assigned employees and Customer trainees for proper orientation, training and skill development. g.Responsible for OJT of assigned Customer trainees, including counterpart training. h.Performs other related duties as directed.

| Requirements: |
1.KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATIONExtensive knowledge of airframe construction, structural metals, and extended sections; fabrication and repair of aircraft structures; mechanical forces, stresses, and strains applicable to aircraft structure is mandatory. Must be knowledgeable of repair of bonded surfaces; concepts and application of Maintenance Management and Supply procedures. Must be skilled in the research, preparation, construction, and grammar required for the submission of written reports. Must possess the ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in the English language. Courses in metal fabrication and structural repair are also mandatory. 2.EXPERIENCEMinimum of seven (7) years recent experience as an Airframe Structural Repair Technician is mandatory, with five (5) of those years in support of C-130 aircraft operations. Two (2) years supervisory experience preferred and must have worked on C-130 aircraft structural systems at least 24 of the last 36 months preceding employment. |
