Duties: |
Task & Responsibility
1. Inspects, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, operates, installs and modifies flight simulators, including motion sound and display, systems, computer software and hardware and associated electronic equipment. 2. Inspects and maintains flight simulator equipment. 3. Troubleshoots and repair flight simulator equipment malfunctions. 4. Flight test digital simulator to determine if reported discrepancies have been cleared 5. Installs, adjusts and modifies flight simulator equipment. Document modification and prepare appropriate reports on components and technical data not meeting prescribed standards. 6. Operates flight simulators equipment. Assist instructors during scheduled training missions. 7. Perform periodic inspections on simulators. 8. Analyze discrepancies reported by instructors and visually inspect items. 9. Accomplish Preventive Maintenance functions. Clean and lubricate various mechanical assemblies. 10.Check installed and repaired components to ensure compliance with technical publications. 11. Prepare and maintain operational, inspection and maintenance documents and related simulator reports and records. 12. Diagnose malfunctions and recommend corrective action.

Skills & Experience
1. Requires a minimum of five (5) years experience with Digital Flight Simulators, two (2) years at the seven level with two (2) years direct experience on F-15 flight simulator (F-15E/S experience is preferred). 2. Requires a thorough knowledge of electronic, mechanical and hydraulic theory that applies to Digital Flight Simulators. 3. Completion of an advanced digital flight simulators course is desirable. 4. Completion of a base level supervisor’s course is desirable.
