TASLER PALLET, INC.
DIVISION: MAINTENANCE
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
TITLE: MAINTENANCE MANAGER
JOB OBJECTIVES:- Provide electrical, mechanical and/or metal fabrication maintenance support
- Safely keep production machinery in efficient operating condition
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Perform all activities required to keep production machinery in proper operating condition
- Fabricate or modify machines, jigs or other equipment in order to aid required production
- Keep buildings, machinery and lot equipment properly maintained to ensure safety
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Some cleanup activities are occasionally required
- Snow and ice removal activities as required
JOB LOCATION:- Production plants and outdoor storage lots of Tasler, Inc.
EQUIPMENT:- Forklift
- Shag truck – semi-tractor
- Welding equipment
- Torch ( propane)
- Small shop hand and power tools (wrenches, drills, etc.)
- Safety glasses
- Hearing protection
- Gloves
- Steel-toed shoes
CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE:- Must be familiar with 480 volt – 3 phase prior to working with electrical components of equipment
- Good welding skills are required (wire and arc)
- Must possess excellent mechanical ability
- Must be able to bend, reach and lift 50 lbs. ( This is not a repetitive motion but is performed as needed to repair equipment)
- Must follow proper lockout/tagout procedures at all times when repairing machinery
- Must be able to safely climb to heights of approximately 20 feet. (Many maintenance activities at elevated heights may require the use of an approved lift. Ladders will also be used as necessary.
- Must be able to safely operate a forklift and follow all necessary safety procedures when using it for machine or building maintenance
- Must be self-motivated and able to work productively without supervision
- Must be able to work in an indoor or outdoor working environment being exposed to dust and at times, the elements of nature
- Must be able to work flexible hours including some evening and weekend hours
(Note: This is a full-time position with frequent overtime. This individual must be able to withstand the above-mentioned weather conditions due to the occasional outdoor activities associated with this position. This individual must be reliable in attendance as well as being very safety-conscious
