Minimum 5 years aircraft maintenance experience on aircraft (B727, B737, B747)types , providing knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques, related work techniques, terminology, parts, etc.An A&P license in good standing is required (Inspection)
1. Performs both simple and complex inspection procedures on aircraft parts, structures, and systems in accordance with applicable standards and specifications. 2. Performs both primary inspections and receiving inspections as assigned.3. Performs both visual and dimensional inspections properly and accurately.4. Writes up inspection items accurately, noting discrepancies clearly.5. Uses micrometers, gauges, calipers, indicators, and other measuring instruments and test equipment in the performance of skilled inspection work.6. Audits work packages to ensure that all assigned work has been properly completed and documented.7. Performs NDT and/or boroscope inspections when applicable.8. Prepares necessary records such as inspection documentation, logs, or other records thoroughly, legibly, and in a timely manner.9. Performs continuity inspections ensuring that previously noted and subsequently repaired items have been properly completed and documented.10. Interprets blueprints, drawings, and other technical data.11. Researches and retrieves technical data as necessary.12. Maintains an updated, current knowledge of technical information and inspection techniques and requirements through adequate research and technical reading.13. Lifts and carries measuring instruments, tools, and test equipment; ascends and descends ladders and platforms; and frequently works in a variety of positions such as stooping, kneeling or squatting. 14. Follows safety procedures and wears and utilizes appropriate safety equipment for the work being performed. 15. Reads instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work.16. Communicates effectively in English regarding work activities, per FAA requirements.17. Performs other duties as assigned.
