Task & Responsibility 1. Advises and assists with the application of Pratt & Whitney (PWA) Spec base, wear resistant and thermal resistant coatings on F-I00 engine augmenter module parts utilizing a Metco 9MB high energy plasma gun system and robotic arm (as required). 2. Clean, inspect and prepare F-100 augmenter parts for coating application. 3. Set up, maintain and operate the plasma spray system utilizing the available technical data and spray schedules for PWA coatings. 4. Orders and receives parts 5. Documents all maintenance actions as prescribed by established procedures. 66 Perform On-the-Job Training (OJT) for assigned trainees.

| Requirements: |
Skills & Experience I. Requires a minimum of five (2) years experience in USAF AFSC 2A77X1 of which one (1) year must have been at the journeyman level or equivalent. Five (50 years experience with Pratt & Whitney, or equivalent company, Plasma Spray field may be substituted for Air Force experienced. 2. The technician must possess the ability to clean, mask, grit blast and do all preparation required for successful plasma spray operations. 3. The technician will refer to F-100 Technical Data and P&W instructions as required to carry out plasma spray operations on flight parts. 4. The technician will be required to maintain a Quality Control program through the processing of test specimens (microstructure and harness as required). 5. The technician must be familiar with PWA plasma coating specifications and the PWA acceptance standards |
