GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Maintenance control is the direct point of contact for the crews for addressing any maintenance issues that arise during the flying day.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide a central point of contact to coordinate aircraft maintenance for Avantair pilots and vendors.
Provide technical evaluation and recommendations for resolution of maintenance issues which arise during daily operations withoutside vendors
Work closely with the Operations Department to ensure Avantair aircraft are utilized efficiently with regards to repositioning for maintenance

Requirements:

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Outstanding communication skills are a must
Ability to use and comprehend basic computer program. (excel, word, outlook)
Maintain a current listing of aircraft status and provide up-to the minute information to the Operations Department.
Initiate corrective action to MEL items, paying particular attention to those with short time priority and operational restrictions..
Analyze pilot reports and mechanical data.
Ensure Aircraft Logbook entries made by Contract Maintenance personnel are correct and complete.
Perform any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned in order to achieve departmental and Company objectives.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Airframe and/or Powerplant License
Minimum 3 years of aviation experience
