Manage airworthiness projects. Perform a wide variety of complex engineering duties to support the certification/qualification of civil products.
Interpret U.S. (FAA) and foreign civil regulations and advise technical specialists to assure the qualification approach and method of compliance proposed by Sikorsky will be acceptable to the Airworthiness Authorities.
Develop materials and substantiating information to support interactions with airworthiness authorities (FAA / EASA / Transport Canada, etc.) regarding continued airworthiness issues or to obtain certification of design changes for fielded civil rotorcraft; or to obtain certification of new rotorcraft. Follow company / department procedures and policies. Interact with multidisciplinary teams as well as engineering managers. Requirments:
- 10+ years experience in engineering field regarding helicopter design / analysis / qualification and / or test required.
- Experience preferred on civil rotorcraft.
- Must be proficient with FAA/EASA regulations and the civil certification process.
- Experience with DO-178 and DO-254 desired.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required.
