| Job Desc: |
The FAA licensed A & P Mechanic performs scheduled maintenance, makes repairs, and completes inspections required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the aircraft OEM approved and established and/or modified maintenance procedures and processes. Troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems. Conducts diagnosis of malfunctions. Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. Maintains FAA required records, manuals and inspection forms. Ability to and responsibility to interface by all medias (written, email, verbal, electronic, face to face etc.) with other departments (Engineering, Materials Control, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Safety, Human Resources, Program Management etc.) to communicate changes in schedules consisting of but not limited to flight, production, and personnel/staffing. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Completes aircraft and engine maintenance as required or needed. • Follows established and normal aviation safety procedures and processes. • Maintains complete and accurate maintenance records. • Conducts scheduled inspections and completes follow-up as required. • Inspects engines, landing gear, instruments, pressurized sections, brakes, valves, pumps, air-conditioning systems and other aircraft related systems. • Complete necessary maintenance and repairs (replacements) on the aircraft, its subsystems, and components. • Repairs sheet metal or composite surfaces and assemblies. • Checks for and corrects corrosion, distortion, and cracks in the fuselage, wings, and tail and other subassemblies IAW with applicable instructions and directives. • Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours. • Other duties as assigned. SKILLS REQUIRED: • Requires an airframe and power license. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Ability to read engineering drawings required. • FAA repair station experience required and Quality Assurance experience desired but not required. • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required. • FAA A&P License.

Possibility of 60% OCONUS travel with some overtime and CONUS travel required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:• High School diploma or equivalent required. • Associates degree preferred. • 0-5 years of experience required. • Must be FAA certified. Must be legally authorized to work in the USA. Position will require overseas travel*Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance required.
