SNC is looking for highly motivated and experienced Avionics Technicians to support our fast growing business area. This position will support both operations and maintenance, within the continental US and overseas locations.
If you are a licensed technician with extensive experience in the removal, installation and testing of all types of avionics systems and wiring with the ability to troubleshoot and repair problems related to avionics, infrared imaging systems, radio transmission and computer systems then we want you!
Must have previous work experience with ISR or weapons systems a major plus with prior military experience. Be highly energetic, and willing to work in a fast changing team focused environment.
When deployed oversees, our technicians will typically work extensive overtime at all hours of the day and night and live in austere conditions, usually tent-city type arrangements with communal latrines and showers.
Position will require overseas travel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Repair and maintains systems used for aircraft navigation and radio communications, weather radar systems and other instruments and computers that control flight, engine and other primary functions. Perform inspections, make adjustments and repair, replace components, and correct any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to aircraft Perform aircraft maintenance in accordance with applicable technical data, SOPs and FAA/JAA regulations; Access, remove and re-install aircraft components including mechanical and electrical which obstruct ther performance of assigned repair/replace tasks;
