The PT6A Mechanic is responsible for performing hands-on work for the PT6A product line within the limits of the repair station for that product.  Maintenance must be performed in accordance with current FAA regulations, the Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual, FAA Approved Data, work order instructions, and manufacturer’s standard practices. The Mechanic is responsible for: maintaining shop equipment and tools, maintaining the premises in a clean and orderly manner, obtaining and maintaining shop metrics, initiating purchase requisitions for stock as required and proper tagging and identification of all units or parts.

Requirements:

High school diploma (or grad equivalent) with 3+ years exp. with PT6A model engine overhaul required

Ability to multi-task and organize and prioritize

Strong communication skills

Personal toolbox required

Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays on short notice

Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently

Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks at once

Desired:

A&P license preferred

Good Computer skills (MS Office applications and Quantum a plus)

Experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma and/or certification preferred

Experience with engine testing
