| Job Desc: |
Will assist in implementing the OPNAVINST 4790.2 series programs throughout the "O" level powerplants work center at Ahmed Al-Jaber Base. TASK REQUIREMENTS: 1. Review technical publications and directives and prepares or assists in preparation of required maintenance instructions. 2. Monitor the CDI/CDQAR program and review personal qualifications of nominees for CDI and CDQAR designation. 3. Investigate hazard reports, and assist in the preparation of various problem related reports. 4. Provide assistance to production personnel and conduct final inspections where required. 5. Perform periodic inspections on work centers to evaluate compliance with OPNAVINST 4790.2 series and other applicable instructions and directives. 6. Analyze information from Maintenance Data Reports (MDR), in developing discrepancy trends to identify failure areas and other maintenance problems. Review source documents and periodic inspection records and note recurring discrepancies requiring special action. 7. Review all Engineering Investigation (EI) requests, Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR), Technical Publication Discrepancy (TPDR), Aircraft Discrepancy Reports (ADR), Hazardous Material Reports (HMR), Explosive Mishap Reports (EMR), and Conventional Ordnance Discrepancy Reports (CODR) to ensure they are accurate, clear, and concise prior to mailing. 8. Obtain and use common and peculiar support equipment. Ensure production personnel have such equipment available, in operating condition, calibrated if applicable, and in use. 9. Support OJT and cross training of KAF personnel. |

| Requirements: | TASK PREREQUISITES: 1. Minimum of five years experience in the powerplants field, with a minimum of four years experience supporting F/A-18 aircraft at the "O" level of maintenance. 2. At least two years experience as a Powerplants Quality Assurance Representative with at least one year of that experience at an F/A-18 activity. 3. Proficient in the use of all powerplants tools, support equipment and publications, and capable of performing all functions required of an "O" Level powerplants technician. 4. Thoroughly familiar with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program as described in OPNAVINST 4790.2 series. 5. Must be personal computer literate and familiar with commercial word processing programs. 6. No security clearance required.
