Technicians will be responsible for the completion of paperwork and reports in connection with their normal assigned duties.
Each Technician is responsible for keeping up to date with manual changes, policy changes and rules concerning general conduct.
Each Technician is obligated to conduct himself in accordance with the rules and regulations covered under Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
Be responsible for their assigned work area, shop or ramp, to ensure that it is kept clean and free of hazards.
Keep their tools and support equipment in a safe and operational condition at all times and, when using calibrated equipment, ensure the calibration due time has not expired.
Wear eye and ear protection as necessary to safeguard sight and hearing while on the flight line during run-ups or when operating machinery and power tools.
Submit in writing any suggested change in operational procedures that will enhance safe, cost effective aircraft maintenance.
Performs maintenance and repairs on aircraft for which the Technician is assigned and qualified.
Approves aircraft for return to service after scheduled or unscheduled maintenance for which he is authorized and qualified.
Keeps own work areas clean. Returns equipment and tools checked out at end of work shift and repositioned in assigned area.
Reports all inoperative or faulty equipment to the maintenance supervisor in charge.
Completes all paperwork for maintenance that is performed.
Ensures that hangar workshops and other areas assigned are maintained in an orderly manner.
Assists the Director of Maintenance in maintaining technical manuals to current status.
Maintains an adequate tool kit.
