Marketing Analyst
Job Description
Responsible for the development of market data including studies which provide management with precise information such as market size, competitive environment, barriers to entry, anticipated investment in resources, equipment facilities, etc., and other information as required to finalize strategy for market development.
- Perform market study on existing served markets and total markets by product line, which includes size, share, competitors, products categories, geographical region, etc.
- Develop strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threat analysis by competitor and product line.
- Take active role in the development of application listings for major accounts.
- Provide market intelligence information to outside sales force.
- Assist outside sales personnel in the development of annual sales and bookings forecast.
- Maintain awareness of competitive strategic activities.
- Maintain awareness of industry events affecting primary customers and competitors.
- Prepare and make presentations on activities to company management.
- Assist in the development of regional business plans to support growth objectives and defined strategies.
- Provide recommendations on new product development.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Maintain bookings statistics by customer
- Coordinate trade show exhibits
- Develop advertising materials.
- Assist in major proposal development.
College degree in marketing or business administration preferred.
- 3 – 5 years sales, marketing or analysis experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience in the aerospace industry.
- Experience in creating a process for and marketing plans.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure due to deadlines.
- Computer skills in Microsoft office package or equivalent.
