Sr Cost Analyst/Program Manager with experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing experience for a direct hire opportunity in the San Diego, CA area.

Position Description:
• Responsible for performing price and/or cost analyses
• Use industry techniques and practices to conduct fact-finding (audits) to establish fair and reasonable cost analysis positions
• Review all elements of cost including direct labor, material, ODC and indirect costs in ensuring compliance with government law (FAR/DFAR/TINA) and company guidelines
• Responsible for analyzing statistical and proposal data to establish recommended cost and price objectives for proposal and contract transactions with customers and suppliers.
• Compile and analyze complex statistical data cost or pricing data from government or commercial databases, tables, and indexes to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives
• Confers with suppliers and analyzes their operations to determine factors that affect prices and recommends the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
• Participate in review, analysis and negotiation of subcontractor or supplier proposals with Subcontract Administration/Program Mgt regarding subcontractor’s cost and pricing data
• Conduct fact finding at supplier locations as needed to review basis of estimates and source documentation verifying proposal cost estimates
• Establish reasonableness of cost and pricing and provide recommended price positions to support negotiations with customer and suppliers
• Participate in cost and pricing reviews with management, customer, and supplier representatives.
• May perform additional duties as required under direction of the Pricing Manager.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with Total Ownership Cost Analysis (TOC Analysis), TOC Models, Life Cycle Cost and NAVAIR experience is a must
• BS in Business Administration, or related subject, and 10+ years experience in contracts, subcontracts, estimating and pricing, finance, in a ( defense/aerospace) mfg environment.
• Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
• Must have current deep experience devoted to Price/Cost analysis - reviewing bids from sub-contractors, evaluating price/cost of material and labor components.
• Must demonstrate an in-depth understanding of pricing and purchasing theories, concepts and principles; and experience demonstrating a broad application of these concepts.
• Prefer prior price/cost analysis supporting Department of Defense (DOD) programs, and interface with government auditing agencies (DCAA/DCMA).
• Must be customer focused and possess:

. Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings
. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
. Ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects
. Ability to represent the company as a knowledgeable resource on external projects
. Excellent computer skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
• Experience in Price/Cost analysis for a prime contractor, or DoD, highly preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 10%
