SUMMARY:

The Install Technician is responsible for the installation of avionics equipment and/or systems in Customer’s and company aircraft as well as the completion of functional checks, troubleshooting and repairs as required. This is a non-exempt, full time, hourly position.

JOB DUTIES:

• Research reference material on technical data for installation/repair procedures.
• Perform inspection of aircraft and target work to be completed using experience and knowledge of aircraft systems. 
• Identify and diagnose areas for maintenance and notify Crew Leader of needs.
• Determine corrective action needed based on reparability and cost effectiveness.
• Identify worn and broken parts and notify Crew Leader of discrepancies.
• Stamp wires and build harness for particular install using appropriate tools and schematics.
• Perform functional tests and troubleshoot avionics systems using manufacturers installation manuals and schematics for both existing and new installs. Use appropriate test equipment and operation check procedures.
• Perform required maintenance of systems and components of aircraft.  
• Retrieve and order parts needed for aircraft repair and install. 
• Complete required paperwork and input necessary information in computer work order.
• Committed to giving customers high quality service and repair.  
• Ensure safety while maintaining aircraft.
• Inform Crew Leader of damages to aircraft and personal accidents.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly manner, and secure tools and equipment to the proper places.
• Be available for twenty-four on call duty as assigned.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

• Active participant in FAA Drug and Alcohol program.
• Perform all other duties and assignments as requested by Crew Leader and Management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• FCC License and A&P Licenses preferred, but not required
• Read and interpret manuals, diagrams and work orders.
• At least five years experience on Corporate or General Aviation Aircraft systems including NAV/COM/PULSE, Auto Pilot, and Audio. 
• Possess own basic tools necessary to perform job.
• Ability to use power operated machinery.
• Detail oriented.
• Team oriented and time sensitive. 
• Experience with Auto Cad is a plus.
