Position Summary:
The Customer Relations Representative is responsible for servicing assigned customers within a specific region, ensures that all aspects of each customer’s purchase order is adequately defined and responded to in a timely manner. This position provides service that meets or exceeds our customers’ requirements and expectations. All written quality procedures and department work instructions must be followed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Answer incoming customer inquiries via phone, fax, email, internet, intranet, etc. and accessing aerospace and defense customer supplier EDI systems and web portals.
§ Provide accurate information to customers; provide requested information and alternative solutions as available.
§ Entering orders, in a timely manner, into system received via fax, email, EDI, intranet, internet, or other electronic data system.
§ Maintaining knowledge based on current and new products and operations.
§ Provide pricing quotations and follow-up on quotes by phone or through other electronic protal.
§ Troubleshooting (freight problems, expediting, etc…).
§ Expedite/advance replacements for warranty or administrative errors.
§ Track and record metrics.
§ Respond to Sales Managers’/Directors’ inquiries.
§ Preparation of paperwork (original purchase order, copies of invoice, and return goods memo) to be handled by accounting department.
§ Maintain developed and organized work space and records
§ Set and review goals and take action to achieve
§ Maintain and update customer communications and records; e.g. BOOTS (Boeing Open Order Tracking System)
§ Responsible for order entry, contracts review, and other document transaction processes as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
§ 2 years experience in aerospace technical customer support.
§ High school diploma.
§ Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.
§ Must be dependable with a good attendance track record.
§ Be a strong team player and communicator with all contacts.
Desired Qualifications:
§ Knowledge of LEAN methodologies, TPS or C/I;
§ Understanding of FARs/DFARs, Export Compliance including ITAR, AS9100 and other required aerospace and defense industry supplier requirements.
