DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include full cycle software development for military reconnaissance oriented applications. These applications are used to command and control a variety of airborne sensor payloads, view and exploit the imagery they produce, integrate GPS devices and provide GIS views, interfaces and exploitation. This position will include development work in all of these areas and disciplines. Associated responsibilities include:
- Determine software requirements and specifications and plan for software development within the broader organizational scope. Software requirements include end–user, system level, and data management requirements.
- Design and develop high quality user interfaces, robust backends and reliable hardware communication layers. Applications are typically windows based developed in C# using the .Net framework.
- Deployment of applications across the enterprise including cross-platform compliance and insuring availability of necessary resources.
- Code maintenance including debugging and updating to keep pace with the evolving environment.
- Assist in planning for future applications based on new developments in computer technology.
- Communicate with the software developer group, with users, and with management as well as with the wider community.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Typically requires a Bachelors, or masters degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline and minimum software development experience as follows; two or more years with a BS and six or less months with an MS. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Must have a conceptual understanding of software development concepts, theory, and operations.
- Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer focused, assists in long-term trend and emerging requirement analysis, with a basic understanding of enterprise-wide software. Must be able to work both independently and on a team.
- Able to work extended hours as required.
- Must be able to acquire a US Secret Clearance
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Expertise in graphic software oriented design and development using DirectX 9 or greater.
