Flying 71 CRJ-200 regional jets as US Airways Express, AWAC brings passengers from their hometowns large and small to hubs that provide them with a gateway to countless travel destinations. Additionally, AWAC is a ground handler for United Airlines in United's Washington Dulles International hub and numerous other cities throughout the country.
AWAC's team is made up of around 2,800 members dedicated to making our travelers' experiences safe and pleasant. With service to approximately 70 cities throughout North America, we carry an estimated 6 million passengers a year.
Mechanics and technicians inspect, test, replace, dismantle, alter, fabricate and reassemble aircraft components and engines. A variety of tools and equipment are used, including precision measuring devices, pneumatic devices, electrical testing devices, general shop equipment, ground support equipment and computers. Technicians are responsible for proper completion of logbook entries, internal company forms, and the maintenance release of our aircraft. Mechanics and technicians are also responsible for accessing and inputting technical data and information utilizing sophisticated computer systems.
Requirements:
·FAA Airframe and Powerplant license. ·Minimum 18 years of age. ·Valid drivers license. ·High School diploma or equivalent. ·The legal right to work in the United States. ·Ability to work nights, shifts, weekends, and holidays. ·Lift 75lbs.
