| Requirements: | VSC is looking for qualified candidates to provide mechanical inspection support as it pertains to Quality Assurance in the Aerospace industry in Moncton, Canada. This project has an expected workload of 4-8 visits per month. Customer is looking for an experienced Aerospace Inspector to perform First Article Inspections (FAI) on machined parts and sheet metal.
Requirements · Five (5) years of recent Aerospace source inspection experience · Must be a “hands-on” inspector not a manager or former manager who occasionally handles material · Experience inspecting machined parts and sheet metal · Must have experience performing FAI to AS9102 standard · Experience with GD&T to ANSI Y 14.5 · Must be comfortable completing the online Mechanical Inspector Commodity Test and score 90% or above · Able to lift up to 35 lbs to desk height without assistance · Ability to climb small ladders and move freely in and around large aero-engine sub-assemblies · User experience with CATIA preferred · Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Internet and Email · Good communication and writing skills · Comfortable working as Independent Contractor (1099 Tax Form) · Acute attention to detail · High level of commitment and strong work ethic
