Job Desc: NOTICE:  This job is listed as part of a customer proposal and approval to proceed with placements will not occur until after announcement on 1 April, 2011.  Employment is contingent upon customer award, approval and funding.  Interested candidates should apply to be considered as part of the applicant pool of internal and external candidates.
 

Performs Aircraft Avionics Electronics systems and components, Electro/Environmental, and Component repair and maintenance.  Troubleshoots, isolate faults, repairs, remove and replace components to resolve avionics or electrical discrepancies.   Completes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of Avionics on King Air 350 Model aircraft.  May support maintenance and repair of Mission Support Equipment as necessary.  Maintenance Lead Mechanic
Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years recent hands-on avionics maintenance experience and completed a military or civilian aviation avionics technical school or possess an FCC License with endorsements is preferred.  Work experience on Beech King Air model aircraft, C-12 or model 1900 avionics maintenance experience is preferred and desired.
  • Experience on installing and maintaining Proline 21 systems preferred.
  • Experience in repair and maintenance of radar, communications, navaids, lighting and instrumentation.
  • Support repair and maintenance of Mission Support ISR equipment when required.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be a self-starter, work well with others.  
  • Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team as required.  CONUS and OCONUS deployment may be required.
  • If scheduled to deploy OCONUS must be in good physical condition, able to pass a required physical exam and CRC course for SWA
  • Must be able to work in the established work/living environment, work a schedule of 7 days, 12 hour shifts as assigned to support mission requirements
  • Knowledge of the use of hand and special tools, and testers is required to perform maintenance tasks. 
  • Must have in-depth working knowledge of aircraft safety directives. 
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English required to use technical manuals 
  • Must have a current civilian driver’s license, and be able to obtain and maintain a government flight line driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim secret government security clearance as a minimum prior to hire.
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge (aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards) of flight line operations.
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications-read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications.
  • Must have a working knowledge (input and extract data) of standard Maintenance Database as applies to maintenance activities.
  • Must be willing and able to perform in-flight FCF checks.
