Job Desc:
Responsible for and has the authority to ensure that the repair station operations are conducted in compliance with applicable code of Federal Regulations. This person’s duties include ensuring that repair station personnel follow the regulations and serving as the primary contact with the FAA. The accountable manager may delegate duties to qualified persons as necessary; however such delegation does not relieve the Accountable Manager of the overall responsibility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serves as primary contact for ZSU’s  ERP software implementation & update

Ensuring that repair station personnel follow the regulations and serving as the primary contact with the FAA

Manages inventory items purchasing as well as defining the appropriate software parameters per item master per warehouse

Manages the shipping / receiving activities

Develops an organization and process capable of maximum effectiveness which includes material and human resources

Prepares, issues, and maintains procedures to govern action and delegate authority/responsibility to assigned personnel

Analyzes and regularly appraises the effectiveness of personnel and policies and takes corrective action when necessary.

Establishes and maintains a Repair Station quality control system to assure that adequate control of quality is maintained throughout the entire process of repair/overhaul and testing, and that work is performed in conformance with pertinent company, customer, FAA and JAA regulations

Ensures that all subordinate operations maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment and work ethic

Assists in the formulation of company policies as a member of the management team.

Keeps the Director of Operations appraised on matters pertaining to the functions under his jurisdiction.

Notifies the Director of Operations of any major change in the Repair Station which could have an impact on FAA certificate

Develops and maintains an efficient work flow/schedule supporting customer needs and priorities

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.


Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

a) Education and/or Experience

Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

b) Language Skills

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. 


Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. 


Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


 

c) Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. 


Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

 

d) Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. 


Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. 


Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
