DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to the Chief Inspector for maintaining the overall Air Carrier inspection program and modification status of each aircraft of their assigned type;
- Promoting safety in all areas by ensuring that all instructions pertinent to safety are properly observed;
- Being knowledgeable of the 135 and 145 Maintenance Manuals, Federal Aviation Regulations and the Company’s Operations Specifications;
- Evaluating assigned tasks to ensure they are within the capabilities of this Air Carrier or Repair Station;
- Performing preliminary inspection of requested work and researching the requested work scope and records to ensure accurate and correct technical data is provided to maintenance;
- Managing customer records, Air Carrier or Repair Station paperwork and performing a detailed quality control assessment of the requested work scope;
- Completion audits of Air Carrier tech logs and Repair Station work orders to ensure accuracy;
- Researching modification status and airworthiness directives of any unknown article and ensuring the records properly reflect the designated articles on his/her assigned aircraft models;
- Corresponding with a manufacturer’s engineering department or an independent engineering firm on repairs and modifications to his/her assigned project;
- Assisting Technical Records personnel in any matters pertaining to his/her aircraft projects;
- Constantly monitoring to assure that the Company has the required technical data on all articles serviced, repaired, altered or overhauled by the Company;
- Performing in-progress inspections to ensure compliance with company standards;
- Ensuring that all work performed for an Air Carrier to include (RII) is performed within the guidelines of the Air Carrier’s Manual;
- Performing a final QC review of the work orders and updating the customers aircraft logbook paperwork;
- Performing the final release and Return to Service for the Repair Station on any of their assigned aircraft models; Making the customer technical logbook entry as requested and in accordance with procedures;
- Performing other duties that the Chief Inspector may assign.
