The PT6A Mechanic is responsible for performing hands-on work for the PT6A engine product line within the limits of the repair station for that product.  Maintenance must be performed in accordance with current FAA regulations, the Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual, FAA Approved Data, work order instructions, and manufacturer’s standard practices. The Mechanic is responsible for: maintaining shop equipment and tools, maintaining the premises in a clean and orderly manner, obtaining and maintaining shop metrics, initiating purchase requisitions for stock as required and proper tagging and identification of all units or parts.

 

1. Assures proper handling and maintains the preservation of all units or parts while in inventory, during the repair process when work performed is completed and when parts are shipped.

2. Ensure that product is built to meet customer specifications and meet all FAA requirements.

3. Ensures that all maintenance performed is properly performed in accordance with approved technical data and that relevant maintenance records required for work performed are correctly executed.

4. Tracking of each project/task from start to finish while ensuring quality standards.

5. Review and interpretation of engine and component logbooks and historical records. Preparing and presenting product inspection evaluations.

6. Training of lesser experienced Mechanics when required.

High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum of 3 years experience in heavy overhaul and repair of PT6A or PT6T engines

Ability to work overtime hours on short notice to meet production requirements
