Electrical/Avionics specific:
- Must exhibit and apply knowledge of aircraft maintenance in electrical systems, cockpit instrumentation, electronic flight controls, air data systems, electronic countermeasures, fault recording systems, navigation systems, communication systems, and built-in test interpretation to support the customer.
- Perform operational/functional checks, troubleshooting, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft electrical, avionics, and countermeasure systems in accordance with established DoD, OEM and other directives.
- Ability to assist Field Service Representatives with troubleshooting of instrumentation, communication, navigation, and FLIR to include knowledge performing actual aircraft modifications.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Position Requirements:
Minimum of five years hands on experience working Bell 407/OH-58D/406CS aircraft.
Ability to interpret blueprints and modification drawings. Install aircraft modifications from engineering drawings, EO’s and government technical directives.
Knowledge of ground support equipment used to support helicopter operations.
Aptitude for review and validation of aircraft technical manuals and support maintainability demonstrations as required.
Preferences:
- FAA A&P License and/or FCC General Radio Telephone Repair license
- Seven to Ten years rotary wing maintenance experience on Bell Light helicopters
- Ordnance or Fire Control technician experience a plus
Must be willing to deploy to Iraq for six to twelve months.
