Applicant is responsible for maintaining the necessary expertise within BHTI and the customer’s organization to ensure adequate logistical support utilizing BHTI, military and industrial supply system and procedures. Primary task is to be SME regarding maintenance planning, supply, test and support equipment, transportation and handling, facilities, data and computer resources, and expediting parts and material from other areas that concern supply support. Candidate must analyze daily helicopter status reports, charts reflecting readiness and coordinate with appropriate internal ILS, IPT’s and customer personnel to correct deficiencies. Will serve as inventory control manager at assigned site; responsible and accountable for all items under your direct cognizance, i.e., spares, tools, Bell and government furnished equipment, records of receipts, issues, storage, shipping of support items and support packages based upon the off-site program. Responsible reporting to Bell and customer on deficiencies that impact helicopter readiness that may affect the overall relationship. Coordinates with the customer and vendor to repair items of support when necessary to increase the overall helicopter readiness. Evaluates supply procedures and recommend changes when necessary. Government bonded stores: coordinates shipments, expedite AOG material, review records, accountability of inventory, return and turnaround of repairable, final transition to customer control. Provide usage data by utilizing on-site terminal, which will assist in maintaining an adequate inventory of spare parts.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Position Requirements:
Minimum of 6+ year’s military logistics experience required. Personal computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications along with excellent oral and writing skills. Position will require deployment to IRAQ for six to twelve months.
Preferences:
Seven to Ten years military logistics experience with knowledge of BHTI Information Management Systems i.e.-/ MRP / MOPPS / COOP / SAP knowledge a plus.
Four year college degree or extensive military or industry training may be substituted for some college.
