This position is responsible to the VP of Maintenance for the overall supervision of all activities in the avionics repair, installation and alteration of aircraft and appliances performed within the Avionics Maintenance Department. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Plan, direct, schedule and define the performance of the Avionics Maintenance Department
- Provide assistance, instruction and supervision to Avionics Technicians in the performance of their duties
- Administer the technical aspects of avionics maintenance
- Work with the MRO Manager to develop and revise areas of training related to Avionics Technicians
- Ensure the proper preservation and protection of all avionics articles during maintenance and storage
- Comply with any additional procedures required for any avionics air carrier maintenance
- Ensure all avionics shop equipment and tools are maintained and in good working order
- Ensure that all forms initiated are completed in accordance with instructions located in Appendix A of the Repair Station Manual
- Maintain work station in compliance with safety, fire and security requirements
- Note: The Avionics Manager may delegate authority to any qualified individual; however this delegation does not relieve the Avionics Manager of the overall responsibility of compliance.
