Qualifications: Strong communications (oral and written) and interpersonal skills to work with military and civilian representatives of DoD activities both non technical staff and technical designers and developers. Extensive background in joint military operations and the associated tactics, techniques and procedures for joint strike, joint close air support, joint unmanned aircraft systems, and It is strongly desired that candidates also meet many of the following criteria:
- Proficient with Windows-based software systems, specifically Microsoft XP operating system.
- Experienced in the management, operations and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
- Knowledgeable of Information Security and Information Assurance.
- General knowledge and experience with network configuration and maintenance.
- Spreadsheets (MS Excel) – excellent skills
- Word processing (MS Word) – excellent skills
- Database software applications (MS Access, SQL or better) – as needed
Education and/or Training:
College Degree BA or BS with a minimum of a Major in an Engineering field required.
v Eight years of applied experience with a high school diploma can be substituted for a college degree
v Applied experience in either modeling and simulation, computers or military operations acceptable.
Military operational experience in joint fires, close air support and unmanned aircraft systems required.
Experience in military tactical range operations desired.
