Requirements:
Duties will consist of basic aviation ground school, ICAO regulations and host-nation air traffic control and airspace structure instruction. Performs academic instruction in a classroom environment, to ICAO & DoD standards, in support of international pilot training program according to USG-approved syllabus. Classroom academic instruction includes multiple aviation-related topics, to include all aircraft systems (Powerplant, avionics, drives, hydraulics, powertrain and rotors). Will also provide curriculum development support when necessary for maintenance of contracted syllabi.
Candidate will be military aviation role model, expected to provide “mentorship” of host-nation instructors in all aspects of RW instruction.
Performs advanced ground school and flight instruction in the UH-60 L/M aircraft using USG-approved syllabus and within the operational constraints of the USG and host-nation.
In IP / EP training courses will train rated pilots in Pilot Instructor Training through military fundamentals of instruction and courseware to attain IP certification, to attain instrument currency and for pilots showing greatest potential, coursework leading up to certification as Evaluator Pilot.
Participates in US and host-nation instructor and Continuation Training meetings and other forums mandated by the on-site i3 management team.
Performs any and all on-site tasks necessary at OCONUS location for a safe, secure, and professional operation.
Qualifications:
Must be able to pass drug screenings. (Required)
Current FAA Class II medical certificate. (Required)
Current FAA Commercial or ATP Certificate with Instrument Rating. (Required)
Logbook and/or flight records verifying the following flight time minimums:
a. 1,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) (Required)
b. 500 hours Instructor (military instructor time) (Required)
c. 200 hours UH-60 L/M time with M Qualification certification (Required)
Graduation certification from military formal instructor course. (Required)
Document showing previous instruction experience in USAF/USA/USN training. (Required)
Prior U.S. military commissioned officer, warrant officer. (Highly desired)
Prior experience teaching military Advanced aircraft Qualification flight training. (Desired)
Bachelor’s degree or higher (Desired)
Possess a current US passport, valid through period of employment. (Required)
Must be able to speak, read and write Spanish (Required)
Must be able to speak, read and write English (Required)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to create, maintain and update briefings and statistical reporting. (Required)
Ability to qualify for a Department of Defense security clearance. (Required)
Ability to meet DoD medical requirements for OCONUS deployment. (Required)
