Technician. Performs periodic and special inspections of all aircraft hydraulic
systems for proper operation and conformity to standards. Assists with
inspection and repair of ground equipment hydraulic systems as required. Removes
and replaces all aircraft hydraulic components and verifies correct system
operation. Performs repair/overhaul of all removed hydraulic components within
local capabilities. Responsible for conducting Customer training, to include
OJT, and maintenance of training records for the Hydraulic Shop. Performs other
related duties as directed. Competencies: * Be able to speak, read, comprehend
and write English clearly and distinctly. * Be able to troubleshoot hydraulic
systems, diagnose malfunctions, repair/overhaul system components and perform
necessary component replacement unassisted. * Be qualified and capable of
providing necessary job training to the customer. * Completion of basic aircraft
Pneudraulics system maintenance course. * Completion of high school or
equivalent. * Have working knowledge of aircraft maintenance forms, records and
reports to meet the job standards prescribed by the RSAF. * Knowledge of
electrical, Pneudraulics and mechanical principles that apply to aircraft,
in-flight refueling and associated equipment.
