L-3 Platform Integration Division is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer at our Waco, TX facility. The Quality Assurance Engineer will: Function as the Program Quality Assurance Engineer and provide planning, coordination and support for a long term aircraft modification and maintenance program. Serve as the point of contact between the Company and Customer with regard to quality issues or customer concerns throughout the initial planning, development, manufacturing, and production stages with a primary focus on aircraft modification and supplier/subcontractor oversight. Be responsible to interface with the program office, customer, engineering, and planning at the early stages of contracts to coordinate and assist in working to resolve any issues prior to production. Be responsible for budgets associated with the direct Quality efforts, which include scheduling and planning of all needed resources. Be responsible for ensuring that quality activities required by the specific contract are planned, implemented and controlled, and the progress monitored which includes communicating requirements peculiar to the specific contract to all affected departments, subcontractors, and suppliers, and resolving problems that arise at the interfaces between such groups. This position requires frequent contacts with internal and external customer representatives at various levels concerning operations or scheduling of specific phases/processes of projects. Participation in technical meetings/briefings will be required. Sets highest ethical standards for self and others. Other duties as assigned. |

| Requirements: | Bachelor degree in Engineering, Technology or Industrial Science + 4 years management experience in one of the following areas: aircraft modification and maintenance, metal fabrication, quality control or structural modification. With Associates degree + 6 years management experience in one of the following areas: aircraft modification and maintenance, metal fabrication, quality control or structural modification Must have hands-on SPC/SQC experience Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required. The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview.
