| Job Desc: |
The successful candidate working as an evaluator/inspector will arrive at work punctually and dependably, and shall perform the following tasks without error adhering strictly to published, approved technical data.
1. Perform accurate teardown and repair analysis of aircraft structural components "off-wing," sent to the repair station for inspection, overhaul and/or repair.
2. Possess the basic tools necessary to accomplish assigned tasks, such as appropriate flashlight(s), inspection mirrors, magnifying glasses and so forth. Specialized tooling specific to the inspection, test or repair necessary for any item is provided in most cases by the repair station.
3. Have the ability to FLUENTLY READ, SPEAK, WRITE AND UNDERSTAND the English language.
4. Have a working knowledge of a typical corporate office computer system. The successful candidate must have a well-rounded, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint and One-Note. A working knowledge of the QAV computerized production system is s definite PLUS.
5. Perform "in-work" progressive inspections of articles undergoing maintenance, preventative maintenance, repair, overhaul and/or repair - providing intuitive guidance to technicians involved when a progressive inspection reveals uncorrected or improperly corrected deficiencies.
6. Have the ability to understand and interpret aircraft technical repair data, and to provide experience-based guidance to technicians on a collaborative level when necessary.
7. Have the knowledge, experience and ability to understand what is needed to disassemble, inspect, repair and reassemble complex aircraft structural components such as thrust reversers, inlet cowls and flight control surfaces. This includes the knowledge, experience and ability to rig thrust reverser feedback systems, balance flight control surfaces and perform electrical transparency testing of radomes.
8. Work overtime, when required, which includes nights, weekends and holidays. While this does not happen frequently, the possibility does exist at times when a customer is facing an "AOG" situation.

| Requirements: |
CANDIDATES NOT MEETING ALL OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS, AS APPROPRIATE, WILL NOT BE REVIEWED FOR QUALIFICATIONS OR CONSIDERED FOR ANY POSITION.
1. MINIMUM of three years heavy maintenance experience as an aircraft structural inspector. One of the three years may be exchanged for line maintenance experience at the ratio of 2:1 (2 years of line maintenance equals one year of structures).
2. MINIMUM of two years experience as an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic in a line maintenance environment. One of the five years may be exchanged for hangar (heavy maintenance) experience at the ration of 2:1 (2 years heavy maintenance equals one year of line maintenance).
3. MINIMUM high school diploma. A GED equivalency is not acceptable for these positions.
4. PREFERRED Associates Degree (2-year degree) from a community college, university or accredited technical institute or college. NOTE - Candidates possessing an Associates Degree will receive consideration over those without, if both candidates have other similar qualifications.
5. Ability to read and interpret aircraft technical repair data, to include engineering orders and manufacturer’s blueprints and engineering drawings.
6. Acceptable personality, mannerisms and ability to communicate accurately that fit well with existing work force.
7. Due to the industrial nature of these positions, a successful candidate must have the ability to lift and maneuver loads of 50 pounds without assistance, and to see & hear unimpaired.
8. Due to the need for dependability and punctuality, the successful candidate must POSSESS and KEEP CURRENT a VALID TEXAS DRIVER LICENSE, and must have a dependable means of transportation.
9. Due to safety requirements, a successful candidate must be able to pass a FAA pre-employment drug test and, thereafter, pass any random FAA drug & alcohol test as may be required.
10. A successful candidate must be able to pass a comprehensive consumer background check and criminal history check. A criminal conviction may not necessarily disqualify an applicant. Consideration will be given towards the severity of the crime committed and the length of time since conviction. |
