We are conducting a search for an Sr. Assembly Inspector for an aerospace company located in Savannah, GA ASAP!
Duration: 6 mo+ contract Pay Rate: DOE
Position Purpose: In a team oriented environment, performs all tasks in area of responsibility in a timely and efficient manner to ensure aircraft parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and installations are built to type design data.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: 1.Performs inspection duties utilizing engineering drawings and orders, route cards, inspection travelers, technical specifications, QA procedures and instructions and other related documents. 2.Perform conformity/first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA approved procedures. 3.Perform area inspections to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications. 4.Ensures the proper use and storage of area tools and equipment.
Additional Functions: 1.Work with and instruct subordinate inspectors in techniques of inspection functions and other related duties applicable to the area. 2.Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel. 3.Coordinate inspection workload according to priorities, efficiency and cost effectiveness. 4.Performs other duties as assigned.
High School degree or GED. Completion of formal inspection training program within 90 days of assignment.
Two yrs tech related inspection exp. Four yrs tech related exp. Two yrs mfg exp or equivalent aerospace exp preferred. Competent in use of all job related tools/equip. Proficient in blueprint reading/interpretation, shop math and QC Procedures. Catia V5
Must be able to work occasional 2nd shift.
