Furniture finisher for corporate high end aircraft. |
| Requirements: |
Exhibits full proficiency to prepare aircraft furniture for finish, touch-up damaged areas creating like new finish, mix and match colors to match existing colors, know the properties and correct usage of chemicals used in the process, and have knowledge of and apply "Hi-tech" finishes. Interprets material specifications, design and engineering drawings to ensure finished product meets design and engineering requirements with a high level of quality and detail. Demonstrates by own example the importance of working through difficult tasks, perseverance, maintaining a professional demeanor, and promotes an open flow of information within and outside the department with simplified communication of complex information using a high level of tact and professionalism.Accomplishes all required paperwork and documentation to include CMP cards, Travelers and R&I log. Ensures lesser skilled technicians are trained to do the same. Complies with and champions Safety, 5s, and housekeeping policies and ensures the aircraft interiors are protected (PTP). Supports local and corporate safety initiatives. Provides training and direction for lesser skilled technicians and monitors their work ensuring they complete assigned tasks to meet required levels of safety, quality, productivity, and detail. Improves on existing techniques and procedures and looks for improvements in safety, quality, man-hours, and cycle time using “Lean Manufacturing” and other process improvement techniques. Accepts Lead responsibilities when needed, overseeing projects or teams, assesses requirements of assigned tasks, procures required materials/documentation, and coordinates with the lead to delegate tasks to assigned technicians. Exhibits good problem solving skills. |
