PATS Aircraft Systems is a long standing VIP aircraft supplier with roots in specialty aviation component manufacturing dating back nearly 40 years. Founded on complex engineering and certification of advanced aircraft systems, PATS has provided auxiliary fuel systems and other integrated systems and components to most aircrafts OEMs and hundreds of customers.
PATS maintains an employee base of skilled workers and experienced management to support both manufacturing and hangar operations. Our core staff and facility are capable of supporting up to seven B737 series aircraft for maintenance, modifications and interior completions.
PATS Aircraft Systems is currently seeking a
Project Engineer
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Lead and manage an Engineering Project Team to Design and Integrate a VVIP Interior ino a BBJ Aircraft.
2. Coordinate, and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the assigned area of responsibility by performing the following duties:
· Provide technical direction to the Project team to facilitate timely task completion
· Approve all project documentation. Review documents drawings and ECO’s for technical accuracy.
· Ensure all design and developmental activities are planned and completed by project team personnel.
3. Facilitate the communication and interaction amongst supporting organization functional representatives.
4. Support the Program Manager with the execution of one or more simultaneous projects in accordance with a valid, executed contract.
5. Assist the Program Manager with the preparation and conduction of the Project Kick-Off Meetings, including PDR and CDR.
6. Assist the Program Manager to develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule unanticipated events and budget against phase review objectives.
7. Prepare periodic management and/or customer reports and presentations as assigned by the Program or Engineering Manager.
8. Participate in Project Meetings as required by the Project SOW. Review and verify project estimates monthly (so-called project cost reports).
9. Ensure that design elements conform to the agreed upon written customer requirements as defined by the SOW and are developed and delivered to meet the project schedule, organization’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
10. Perform engineering calculations, review and approval of vendor specification and drawings.
11. Prepare Advance Equipment Material requests for long-lead materials.
12. Provide feedback regarding employee performance on a project team to the functional managers for evaluation.
13. Recommend new processes where needed for quality improvement, cost reduction and on-time delivery.
