Maintain a central information center for retrieval, analysis and distribution of specific information related to the maintenance requirements of all aircraft.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
This includes:
- Manages selection, training, and scheduling for Maintenance Controllers.
- Assists in the supervision of assigned personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
- Makes recommendations for necessary actions to assure customer satisfaction.
- Maintains good working relationship with the FAA.
- Issues control numbers for CDL, MEL and MCO items.
- Receives, enters, posts parts requests, and arranges for parts transfer.
- Enters squawks and corrective actions from flight logs called in.
- Tracks mechanics time on and off duty.
- Gives air bill information to mechanics, if available.
- Updates status board.
- Enters notes from 121 Maintenance Office.
- Coordinates with respective managers for diverting and rescheduling aircraft.
- Assists in aircraft troubleshooting.
- Locates parts in the IPC.
- Defers squawks per Maintenance Control procedures.
- Tracks progress of work on aircraft down for maintenance.
- Assigns work to mechanics.
- Handles due referrals (fixed or extended).
- Checks accuracy of part numbers called in.
- Oversees maintenance ferry flights are minimized and Issues ferry permit numbers when necessary.
- Researches special projects.
- Conducts Maintenance Controllers Performance and Salary Reviews.
- Maintains aircraft in accordance with legality, safety, and reliability standards.
- Adheres to Company policy and procedure.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Conducts daily aircraft status briefings
