| Job Desc: |
Jet Aviation is seeking multiple A&P Technicians to work in its Houston, TX facility located in Houston Hobby Airport. For immediate consideration, please review the job overview and requirements and forward your resume to phyllis_jarvis@jetaviaiton.com with A&P HOU in the subject heading.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Enacting policies and procedures as directed by the lead technician and in accordance with the RS/QC manual
- Reviewing technical data to be used and presenting it to the assigned inspector for review and acceptance if there is any doubt about its applicability or acceptability, before beginning work.
- Performing maintenance/alterations while adhering to accepted maintenance/alteration performance standards as referenced in FAR 43.13.
- Accurate and appropriate completion of all required records used in the performance of their functions.
- Informing the lead technician of all maintenance work not completed as required in the continuity of maintenance program for unfinished work.
- Ensuring the proper use of all test equipment. Ensuring that all defective test equipment found during the maintenance process is removed from service and reported to the appropriate manager for corrective action.
- Ensuring that the work area is cleaned at the end of the shift or task, whichever comes first
- Responsible for the protection of aircraft and equipment, paying particular attention to the protection of aircraft interiors and components removed from the aircraft
- Reviews and keeps up to date on; (a) all the latest publications: maintenance manual, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, customer Information bulletins, etc.
- Notifies the lead technician or the applicable supervisor of any unfinished work
- Other duties may be assigned, as needed

| Requirements: |
Minimum requirements of education and experience:
- High school degree and two (2) years of technical School, or minimum of three (3) years of corporate aircraft experience
- Airframe and Powerplant certificate required
- Working knowledge of Manufacturer’s inspection programs
- Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulation – Parts 21, 23, 25, 43, 65, 91, 135 and 145.
- Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of Management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to read and understand technical manuals
- Must be able to communicate well both orally and written in order to interact with outside agencies, vendors and customers
- Since English is the language of aviation the mechanic must be able to effectively, proficiently and clearly speak and understand the language
Must also be able to pass an FAA required 10-year background check
