Job Desc:

SUMMARY: Responsible for the direction, control and oversight
of the Cascade SMS Quality Control Program 
to include review of ongoing QC procedures and assessing compliance with
the Cascade QC Manual inside the customer’s facility. Ensure the timely
auditing of customer Quality Control practices, document trends and provide
guidance and corrective action suggestions to customer employees during
performance of maintenance. Execute Cascade’s SMS strategy and commitment to the
continuous improvement of the safety, quality, and reliability of customer’s airline
operation for which Cascade provides services. 
Conduct daily audits and inspections and enter applicable data into
tracking software producing reports documenting maintenance errors, QC
procedural non compliances and associated root cause and corrective actions.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:


The duties include:


§        
Responsible for integrating the Cascade SMS
Program into normal part of the customer’s daily business


§        
Establish and manage a continual process to
implement long term QC philosophies and to verify whether audit findings are
isolated, or actual symptoms of technical, policy, procedural, or managerial
problems


§        
Continuously monitor QC policies, procedures,
and managerial systems to ensure continued compliance with Cascade’s SMS QC
Tier objectives to include scheduled follow‑up and special inspections, audits
and evaluations as necessary when trends or concerns are identified


·          
Maintain an awareness of new developments in human factors maintenance
error reduction research by reviewing FAA/ industry data focused on QC
procedures and maintenance safety. Lead and participate in the development of a
human factors oriented maintenance/ QC management culture (SMS)


·        
Incorporate proven computer based maintenance error investigation and
analysis program provided by the customer into the audit process.


·        
Adopt and implement special audit and inspection programs
 

·        
Assist in the development of 
education programs based on audit findings 

·        
Lead internal programs to publish and distribute program performance
information


·        
Prior to
their implementation and in conjunction with the Customer, review and approve
proposed employee disciplinary actions relating to maintenance errors. Ensure consistent consideration of human
factor principles


Must have proven 
communication and educational skills


*You must have a valid passport and be able to travel and
work in foreign countries for extended periods of time. 


OTHER DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Define and schedule procedural and system audits and special
inspections

Lead scheduled audit and special inspection teams

Assure the Identification and documentation of any findings or concerns


*       
Communicate and coordinate all audit and special Inspection activities
with customer personnel and involved company employees on a regular basis


QUALIFICATION
REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements:

SKILLS
AND KNOWLEDGE:


·        
Have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability
and statistical inference at the post high school level.




·        
Have demonstrated the ability to use a Windows based computer operating
system, and word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation programs.


·        
Have written communication skills at the post high school level.


        
Have the ability to readily comprehend complex aircraft maintenance
written material and interpret it correctly to associates.


·        
Have demonstrated oral communications skills such that presentations,
training initiatives and team leadership responsibilities can be carried out
effectively.



 


EDUCATION AND/OR
EXPERIENCE:


·        
High School diploma or equivalent. FAA. 


·        
Six years large transport category aircraft
maintenance experience, including two years inspector experience and two years
supervisory experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience


·        
Currently or within the past 3 years 
held a position (for at least a twelve month period) as an airline (FAR
Part 121), or Repair Station (FAR Part 145) 
Quality Control Inspector, or Quality Assurance auditor or equivalent


·        
Have demonstrated experience working with airline maintenance programs


·        
Associates or Bachelors degree highly desirable


·        
A & P License is highly desirable


·        
Ability to speak Portuguese or at least Spanish
is highly desirable



 


PHYSICAL EFFORT AND
DEXTERITY:


While performing the duties
of this job, the employee will be required to work in an industrial environment
or outside in an aircraft operations area, sit; use their hands and arms; and
talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. 
The employee will also be required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel,
crouch, or crawl.


The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally
lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.


ENVIRONMENT: 


The noise level
in this work environment is usually moderate to high. May occasionally work near moving mechanical
parts in high, precarious places and may be exposed to fumes or airborne
particles.
