Must have a demonstrated ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair a broad array of aviation avionics equipment/instrumentation and specialized airborne electronics systems utilized on the JCA.   Candidates must exhibit good decision making skills regarding aircraft maintenance IAW FAA standards and demonstrate logical system analysis/troubleshooting techniques.  Candidates must have experience with, or the ability to readily learn, the use of standard avionics test equipment.  Also,  Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug screening and security background check prior to hire.  Candidates must be willing and able to deploy overseas with the aircraft to potentially hostile and austere environments for up to one (1) year.  Must be able to occasionally lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and work in varying climactic conditions.

 

A minimum of five (5) years recent hands on experience and a solid electronics background is required.  FCC general radiotelephone license is required. Secondary electronics education and an FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification is desired. Candidates must be available to work rotating shifts and be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance and FAA repairman certificate for FAR 91.411 and 91.413 (if no other FAA certificate is possessed) within 6 months of hire.
