Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control. Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production. Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules. Assists in determining possible and actual shortages. May initiate action to correct these deficiencies. Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action. Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates. Performs administrative duties using computer, and other associated equipment within maintenance control. Schedules and tracks aircraft maintenance actions. Monitors maintenance schedules for accuracy and completion. Provides assistance, guidance and instruction to employees in Maintenance Control. Coordinates aircraft maintenance and resources functions. Detects trends, predicts maintenance and supply requirements, controls scheduling of maintenance and oversees the maintenance effort of component repair, GSE and I Level structures to include manning requirements, and aircraft maintenance in support of division goals, objectives and performance standards. Must have extensive knowledge and experience in maintenance supervision and managing aircraft maintenance. Possess a strong background in maintenance scheduling and control systems, techniques and ICRL procedures. Have the ability to determine manning requirements, detect trends and predict maintenance and supply requirements. Must have an extensive working knowledge of Aviation Maintenance, Quality Assurance and operating instructions. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be customer oriented. |

| Requirements: | Completion of high school or equivalent. Specialized training or equivalent experience in maintenance control, administration and quality assurance. In the past 10 years, must have three years general experience and three years specialized experience in aircraft maintenance, three years of which were in a supervisory maintenance/maintenance control position. Must have at least two years supervising people in performance of aircraft maintenance or comparable military experience. |
