Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and implementing quality standards that meet the requirements of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2, OEM Requirements ISO 9001 and the maintenance contract. Responsibilities include developing quality policies and procedures, providing oversight of quality audits, provide statistical process controls to evaluate performance standards, directing, implementing, and continuously improving the quality system to achieve performance standards.
Must be customer oriented.
Provides a systematic and efficient method of gathering, analyzing and maintaining information on maintenance and material defects that impact the aircraft maintenance program. Directs, implements, and continuously improves the quality system to achieve performance standards.
Provides guidance to the QA Inspectors/CDQARS/CDI on all quality standards, time lines for implementation, and management of the Quality Management System.
Evaluates and develops improved techniques for the control of quality, reliability and safety. Organizes and promotes company wide quality improvement efforts.
Coordinates approval and ensures currency of Navy and OEM Publications, Maintenance Instructions, Work Instruction, Property Procedures, Training Procedures, and Quality Procedures.
Reviews all NAMDRP reporting requirements to ensure they are accurate, clear, concise and comprehensive prior to release.
Reviews technical problems, and procedures, and recommends solutions or changes to procedures.
Develops inspection, audit, and monitoring schedules to determine the condition of assigned equipment and proficiency of maintenance personnel.
Review statistical data and provide management with charted data and narrative analytical reports, and recommendations regarding resolutions of aircraft conditions, utilization, maintenance workload, manpower, and failure trends.
Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations including participation in FOD walk down when directed.
Responsible for adhering to the Company Tool Control Program.
Conduct investigations into customer complaints relating to contractual deficiencies within the Quality Program and recommend corrective actions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
This classification activity, while normally accomplished in an office environment, does have duties that require the individual to work outside the office environment. Typical physical demands or activities include climbing, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, kneeling, reaching and walking. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
The work conditions are normally those of a standard office environment where there is little
physical discomfort. During the performance of duties outside the office environment, the diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to changes in temperature and weather. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards. May be exposed to radiation. May work near moving mechanical parts.
