Individual will be responsible for performing daily aircraft maintenance activities on a small fleet of Cessna 172 and 208 aircraft. Must have working knowledge of Garmin 1000 system, Honeywell and Bendix components. Includes conducting pre-flight test of integrated avionics systems., Assist A&P Maintenance Personnel with flight inspections and flight crew debriefings. Will also assist A&P maintenance personnel in routine maintenance, pre-flight and post flight inspections of the airframe and powerplant. Required to troubleshoot and repair avionics discrepancies with the aircraft.
Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of recent experience in integrated avionics maintenance/repair of aircraft systems. Advanced formal technical training in avionics or electronics through military or civilian schools is required. Must have FCC license. A FAA A&P license is preferred in addition to avionics training. Maintenance experience on Cessna 172 and 208 aircraft or similar aircraft is desired.
Candidate is subject to thorough medical review and screening, background investigation, drug testing and pre-deployment training. Position is in Kirkuk, Iraq, individual may be subject to austere field living conditions with coalition forces. This requires long work hours to support a high tempo operation under difficult conditions. US citizenship required, a DOD security clearance is required.
