Job Desc:

The primary role of the Training Evaluation Advisor is to evaluate the training provided to RSAF personnel (both commissioned and enlisted) and prepare training evaluation reports for the DoTC&LE. This includes, but is not limited to, the formal training delivered at TSI, KFAA, and FTC’s as well as all OJT delivered across the RSAF. The Training and Evaluation Advisor will also identify training needs and deficiencies within the RSAF training programs and develop training solutions to meet those needs and correct those discrepancies.


Job Requirements/Primary Role


Advise, augment, and assist in the planning, development, revision, evaluation, and monitoring of Logistics manning, training, and evaluation programs as well as to provide assistance to Directorate of Technical Crew & Logistics Evaluation (DoTC&LE) in conducting evaluations of the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program when required.


1. Evaluation of RSAF Officer Training Courses
2. Evaluation of RSAF Officer Training Programs
3. Evaluation of RSAF Enlisted Training Courses
4. Evaluation of RSAF OJT Program
5. Preparation of reports for the above programs
6. Advising the DoTC&LE on matters relating to, but not limited to, the following:
     a. Officer and Enlisted formal training courses
     b. Officer and Enlisted OJT programs
     c. Officer and Enlisted career development
     d. Officer and Enlisted manning















Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities


1. Be thoroughly familiar with the conceptual application of OJT programs.
2. Develop/review/update DoTC&LE training and evaluation directives.
3. Advise the DoTC&LE staff on matters pertaining to both OJT and formal academic training/evaluations and recommend corrective action for identified training program discrepancies.
4. Conduct training needs analysis to identify shortfalls in current training as well as identifying new training requirements.
5. Develop training solutions to identified training deficiencies for both commissioned and enlisted personnel.
6. Develop training solutions for both commissioned and enlisted personnel to address training needs caused by system changes.
7. Conduct Staff Assistance Visits (SAV) to bases and Field Training Centers (FTCs) when required.
8. Be thoroughly familiar with the use of Instructional Systems Development (ISD) programs as well as curriculum planning and development.
9. Prepare reports, briefings, and other correspondence as required.
10. Conduct OJT for RSAF personnel as required.
11. Perform other related training duties as directed by the DoTC&LE.


Qualifications and Experience


Required


1. Minimum of 10 years experience within a training/evaluation environment, preferably at a senior supervisory level.
2. Possess a recognized teaching/instructor qualification certificate.
3. Have a minimum of 4 years of classroom experience.
4. Have experience in training course design and development.
5. Able to demonstrate a good understanding of the principals and concepts of training.
6. Able to communicate both orally and in writing to include the ability to interact with other RSAF Directorates at both command and staff levels.
7. Be a proactive self-starter able to work to tight deadlines.
8. Be proficient in the MS Office suite of programs.


Desirable


1. Hold a professional qualification or degree. e.g. BS, BA, MS, MEd, CMIPD
2. Experience working within a military training organization.
3. Experience instructing individuals for who English is a second language.
4. Experience managing formal training and OJT programs.
